Aviation…
Like you, we share a passion …Aviation…

Here are a few random sites that keep our dreams alive...

Amis de l'ALAT
A must see site for anyone interested in helicopters. The Association des Amis du Musee de l’ALAT (Association of the Friends of the ALAT Museum) helps to maintain the good condition, the mission values, and the charisma of the Historical and Cultural Legacy represented by the different collections shown since 1981
This Association is composed of more than 600 members. Most of them are retired military pilots and flight engineers. A lot of them have flown in the aircraft represented in the Museum. The Association publishes a yearly newsletter that tells about what is happening with the Museum located in Dax.

Battle of Britain Memorial Flight
The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is a memorial squadron for the RAF. It was inaugurated at Biggin Hill in July 1957. The movie “Battle of Britain” in 1968 brought the squadron recognition. Today, the squadron, located near Lincolnshire, consists of 5 Spitfires, 2 Hurricanes, 1 Lancaster, 1 Dakota, and 2 Chipmunks.
Cartouche doré
This aerobatics team of TB-30 aircraft, was created and supported by the French Air Force Flight School instructors at the Cognac Air Base. The history, the member pilots, the scheduled events are all incorporated in an interesting site conceived by Julien Robin with the help of SIRPA.
Exhibition models
Built by professionals for true amateurs. A wide array of civilian and military aircraft models for exhibitions. Mostly built in redwood from the Philippines but also in resin and metal, injected plastic or fiberglass. The scales go from 1/20th to 1/400th.
These magnificent collectibles have pleased a lot of Airline Companies and Aircraft Manufacturers, like Air France, Delta Airlines, Lockheed, Martin, Dassault, and the NASA
Icaria Flying Club
Sainte-Leocadie is located in the Pyrenees-Orientales department – Eastern Pyrenees, in the South of France. This town is the home of the Aero-Club of Icaria, which includes the 800 m (900 yards) grass runway that belongs to the ALAT Military Air Base (Mountain flight), at 4300 ft. altitude. In the heart of the Cerdagne region, there are more than 300 days of sunshine each year and you will be able to get your Glider or Airplane Pilot license or your mountain flight qualification or your authorization to enter the area. You will have a lot of fun with the updrafts and downdrafts while gliding.
